Bradley: Keyshawn Wanted $2M, Hitchins $2.5M — Both Priced Themselves Out

Bradley: Keyshawn Wanted M, Hitchins .5M — Both Priced Themselves Out

Keyshawn Davis and Richardson Hitchins both priced themselves out for a fight on the January 31st undercard in New York. They had the opportunity to be a part of the Ring 6 card on DAZN at Madison Square Garden.

Bradley Reveals the Price Tags

Tim Bradley says the former WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn (13-0, 9 KOs) wanted $2 million. IBF 140-lb champion Hitchins was asking for $2.5 million, which was too much for this type of fight.

Tim states that Hitchins (20-0, 8 KOs) will now be getting $700,000 to fight Jamaine Ortiz on the undercard of Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson on January 31st.

“You got Keyshawn Davis. He wants no less than $2 million to fight Hitchins. Then you got Hitchins, who wants no less than $2.5 million,” said Tim Bradley on his channel about Keyshawn Davis and Richardson Hitchins wanting big money to fight on the January 31st undercard on ‘Ring 6’ in New York City.

The 2020 Olympic silver medalist Keyshawn has been getting paid well by his promoters at Top Rank, despite not having fought any notable opposition. He’s been treated like an Olympic gold medalist, not the guy who lost to the gold medal winner, Andy Cruz.

Jamaine Ortiz as the Backup Option

“The fights not happening. The other option for both of these guys was Jamaine Ortiz,” said Bradley. “Do you know what Keyshawn Davis wants for that fight? He wants over $700,000 for that fight against Jamaine Ortiz. That’s another guy who can’t be a chooser.”

If Hitchins loses to Jamaine, he could regret having fought him because this guy is good. We saw what he did to Teofimo last year. He made him look bad.

“These guys haven’t been fighting. They got to get some money. Guess who took the fight for less? Richardson Hitchins. So, he’s going to be fighting Jamaine Ortiz on the Shakur card,” said Bradley.

“We found out that ‘The Businessman’ [Keyshawn] is no longer with ‘Bomac.’ He’s basically blaming it ‘Bomac’ and them, saying they weren’t there for him.”
