IBF World Welterweight champion Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis stopped 2016 Olympian, WBA World Welterweight champion Eimantas Stanionis after six rounds, adding the Ring Magazine belt on Saturday night in their unification fight at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Ennis, 34-0 (30) knocked Stanionis, 15-1 (9), down in the sixth round. The fight was stopped after Eimantas went back to his corner.

In the first round, Ennis controlled with Stanionis landing his first punch, a left hook. Ennis turned southpaw in the final half minute, easily winning the round. In the second round’s midway point, they had their first exchange. Ennis, mostly at southpaw, took another round. Ennis went to the body in the third round’s final minute, hurting Stanionis.
Stanionis had an abrasion under his right eye in the fourth round, losing another round. At the midway point of the fifth round, Stanionis landed a pair of lefts on the chin, with Ennis opening up, causing Stanionis’s nose to start bleeding.
In the sixth round’s final minute, Ennis landed four left uppercuts, dropping Stanionis for an 8-count from referee David Fields. Between rounds, Stanionis’s corner stopped the fight.
Former WBA World featherweight champ southpaw Raymond ‘Savage’ Ford, 17-1-1 (8), defeated former WBC Continental Americas super featherweight champ Thomas ‘Gunna Man’ Mattice, 22-4-1 (17), by a 10-round unanimous decision.
In the first round’s first minute, Ford had Mattice hurt in a corner with a flurry of punches. In the final seconds, Ford again had Mattice hurt. Ford controlled out-landing Mattice from the second through the sixth rounds.
In the seventh round, Mattice had some swelling around the left eye, though he held his hands high with little offense. Ford continued to win each round, and fans were getting restless. In the eighth round, Ford landed two and three combinations.
In the ninth round Mattice started throwing some punches backing up Ford who won another round. In the tenth and final round Ford continued the shut out.

WBC Continental Americas super bantamweight champ Arturo Cardenas, 16-0-1 (9) stopped late sub southpaw Edgar Cortes, 9-8-1 (1), at 1:30 of the 8th and final round.
In the second round, Cardenas started out fast, chasing down Cortes, who moved around the ring well, landing his jab for the most part. Cardenas got in one good body shot.
In the seventh, Cardenas landed a right on the chin a minute into the round, dropping Cortes for an 8-count from referee Charlie Fitch. In the eighth and final rounds halfway point, a right from Cardenas on the chin dropped Cortes, who, upon rising, was halted by referee Fitch.
Welterweight 2016 Olympic Silver medalist Shakhram ‘Wonder Boy’ Giyasov, 17-0 (10) knocked out Franco ‘Cazador’ Maximilliano Ocampo, 17-3 (8) at 1:57 of the fourth round of a scheduled 10 rounds.
In the first round, in the last minute, a combination from Giyasov dropped Ocampo for an 8-count from referee David Franciosi. In the fourth round, a right from Giyasov to the body dropped Ocampo for the count from referee Franciosi.
Super welterweight 2024 Olympic Bronze Medalist Omari ‘Banger’ Jones, 2-0 (2) defeated Willam ‘Action’ Jackson, 13-6-2 (5), at 1:47 of the first round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first round’s midway point, Jones landed a counter right to the body, dropping Jackson for the count from referee David Franciosi.
Super featherweight southpaw Zaquin Moses, 3-0 (2) scored a second round knockout of Alex Pallete, 1-4 (1) at 2:13 of a scheduled fourour rounds.
In the second round, with a minute remaining, southpaw Moses had a lead left on the chin of Pallete, and down he went for the 8-count from referee David Franciosi. He got up, and Moses jumped on him before the referee called a halt.
Lightweight Francisco ‘Sisco Kid’ Rodriguez, 7-0 (7), stopped Naheem ‘The Dream’ Parker, 5-2 (2), at the end of the third round of a scheduled six rounds.
In the first three rounds, Rodriguez outlanded Parker, driving him into the ropes in the third round with little return from Parker. In the corner of Parker, they called a halt.
Charlie Fitch was the referee.
Welterweight Tahmir ‘The Don’ Smalls, 14-0 (10) destroyed Nikki Bascome, 13-2 (2) at 1:13 of the first round of a scheduled eight rounds.
At the midway point of the first round, a flurry of punches from Smalls dropped Bascome on the seat of his trunks, where he took the count from Referee Charlie Fitch.
