Who knew that one of the most talked-about stories from the Denver Broncos’ Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders would be about something Maxx Crosby said to Bo Nix before a snap in the game?

Crosby tried to taunt the rookie quarterback during the game on Sunday, something most people likely didn’t even recognize at the time, including Nix. For those who missed it, here it is:

Crosby is known as one of the most energetic players in the NFL and he is one of the top defensive players in the league. Nix was either too focused on the task at hand, unaware of Crosby’s antics, or a combination of both.

When asked about it on Wednesday, Nix had every chance to say something negative towards Crosby, but instead took the high road with this answer:

“Ironically I didn’t really even hear it when it happened in the game. I’ve been sent [it] a lot and seeing the video after. I think that’s just part of his game.”

What a great answer. Nix just pushed that aside like he did the 10-0 deficit he was facing when Crosby said what he said. It’s likely that the rookie quarterback has already gained the respect of the sack artist through all of this.

Nix will take on another tough defense this Sunday when the Broncos face the Los Angeles Chargers.
