“To begin with, they smashed the partition separating them from the home supporters, ripped out and broke chairs that will need to be replaced, and vandalized the private restrooms in their section.

“They deliberately urinated outside the toilets and left them covered in stickers.”

It also states that flares and cups were thrown towards the Barcelona members in the lower stands and that security had to remove some Frankfurt fans from the home end.

On the pitch, boss Hansi Flick was delighted with the efforts from his troops who recorded a comeback with after a double from Jules Kounde.

He said: “It wasn’t an easy match, as Eintracht showed themselves to be a very dynamic and fast team, and they also defended well.

“I’m proud because we adjusted our approach at half-time and it worked.

“We adapted to the situation, and I want to congratulate my coaching staff for the work they’ve done.”

Barcelona are currently sitting 15th in the Champions League league phase standings with two games to go.

LaLiga rivals Atletico Madrid currently occupy eighth spot on 12 points in the race to head straight into the last 16.
