Barcelona wonderkid Destiny Ejiofor, 11, scored astonishing 145 goals in 52 games and tipped to follow Messi and Yamal

MEET the 11-year-old Barcelona wonderkid – and Destiny isn’t his middle name, it’s his first.

Destiny Kosiso Ejiofor John is the latest sensation from Barcelona’s famed La Masia Academy and is tipped to follow Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal to stardom.

Ejiofor is believed to have scored an incredible 145 goals in his last 52 games at seven-a-side level – a strike rate that has led to comparisons with Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe.

And with super-agent Pini Zahavi already on board to guide his career, the youngster has in his camp the man who oversaw the rise of former Barcelona star Neymar.

Destiny notched an incredible 100 goals in 27 appearances for the Under-10 side in 2023-24, including a scarcely-believable 20 in the elite Iscar Cup tournament alone.

And he has continued to score at an amazing rate despite frequently playing up a year for the Under-12 side this season.

Destiny starred again earlier this year as Barcelona triumphed in the Under-11 category of the Iscar Cup, beating Real 4-2 in the final.

And just last weekend, he was the top scorer as Barca won the prestigious Jordi Pitarque Cepria tournament, grabbing a hat-trick in the team’s 7-1 victory in the final.

Destiny is the third Ejiofor brother to make a name for himself in the Blaugrana junior ranks.

Dad Ejike Paschal, who comes from Nigeria, played in the Spanish third division.

But all three of his boys – David Obinna, Divine Ikenna and Destiny – have played for Barca.

On one weekend in April 2024, the trio each scored twice for their respective youth teams.

Lamine Yamal signs six-year Barcelona deal and gets iconic number as he faces probe over ‘hiring dwarfs for party’

Ejike said at the time: “By the grace of God I have three children with Barcelona.

“All three are performing, but Destiny, to me, is a shade better at this level.”

David, now 16, joined the Catalan giants in 2017 and was a prolific goalscorer in 7v7 football.

He found the transition to the 11-a-side game challenging but battled through to retain his place at Barcelona.

David is now with fifth tier side UE Cornella.

Divine, 15, known as Divi, is still at Barcelona and doing well with the Under-15s.

But it’s Destiny who seems to have the brightest future.
