BARCELONA manager Hansi Flick has praised Marcus Rashford’s mentality following his Manchester United exit.
Rashford left United to join the Catalan side on a season-long loan in July after falling out of favour with head coach Ruben Amorim.
The 28-year-old has since provided 11 assists and scored six goals in 21 appearances for his new club, meaning he only falls behind Lamine Yamal in terms of goal contributions.
Flick this week admitted he is “really happy” that Rashford is at the club and praised his professionalism.
The Barcelona boss said: “When he’s on the bench, it shows we have a good team.
“What I can say is that he’s an absolutely professional player, his attitude, his mentality is fantastic.

“At the beginning, he had to adapt a little bit, but now he’s at his best level.
“I speak with the players when they’re not playing, [to explain] why.
“And he said to me mister, he said boss, in England they say boss, ‘You don’t have to tell me this. It’s only about the team, we have to win three points, nothing else is important.’
“It’s the right attitude, the mentality of him, and I’m really happy he’s here.”
Barcelona have the option to make the forward’s loan move permanent next summer.
However, it was reported this week that Rashford will likely return to Man Utd.
Speaking to BBC Sport recently, the England international opened up about how much he is enjoying life in Spain.
He said: “It’s different, but it’s a great learning curve for me. Even little things like learning the language, learning the culture – it’s all enjoyable for me.
“I don’t see anything here as a pressure, I’m here to play football but I am also here to enjoy myself and have a good time and learn on and off the pitch.
“It’s a new language of football. I’ve always been an admirer of Spanish football, and to play for the biggest club in Spain is a huge honour.”
