At the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Golden Boy Promotions staged a full night of fights on DAZN Saturday night, headlined by a welterweight bout between Arnold Barboza Jr. and Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. In the co-main event, unified minimumweight champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo defended his titles against Jesus “Chiquito” Haro.

In the main event, Arnold Barboza Jr. (33-1, 11 KOs) defeated Kenneth “Bossman” Sims Jr. (22-4-1, 8 KOs) by unanimous decision over 12 rounds to capture the vacant WBO Global welterweight title.
Barboza established an edge early, working to the body and landing the more consistent punches through the opening rounds. In the closing seconds of the fourth round, he landed a right hand that briefly hurt Sims.
Sims had moments of his own, including a low blow in the fifth round and a clean right hand at the end of the sixth. Barboza continued to find success with lead right hands that began to produce swelling under Sims’ right eye.
Barboza stayed in control through the seventh and eighth rounds, keeping Sims on the defensive. Sims struggled to slow the pace in the ninth and tenth rounds as Barboza continued landing right hands.
In the eleventh round, a clash of heads opened a cut over Barboza’s right eyebrow. Sims appeared to benefit from the moment and may have taken the round. Barboza finished strongly in the twelfth, raising his hands in celebration as the final seconds ticked away.
The judges scored the bout 117-111, 118-110, and 120-108 in favor of Barboza.
Collazo retains unified minimumweight titles
In the co-main event, unified WBO and WBA minimumweight champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (14-0, 11 KOs) stopped Jesus “Chiquito” Haro (13-4, 2 KOs) after six rounds of their scheduled 12-round fight.
Collazo controlled the early rounds with accurate punching and steady pressure. In the fourth and fifth rounds, he focused on body shots that began to slow Haro.
The sixth round continued the same pattern as Collazo landed repeatedly to the body and head. At the end of the round, Haro’s corner decided to stop the fight.
Rocha outpoints Diaz
Former NABF and WBO NABO welterweight champion Alexis “Lex” Rocha (26-2-1, 16 KOs) defeated former IBF junior lightweight champion Joseph “JoJo” Diaz (34-9-1, 15 KOs) by unanimous decision over 10 rounds.
Rocha returned after a long layoff and immediately used his size advantage against Diaz, who was competing at welterweight. Rocha had the better of the opening rounds and landed several left hooks in the third.
Both fighters had moments during the middle rounds, including body work in the fifth and a strong sixth round from Rocha that included a left uppercut, which rocked Diaz. Diaz rallied briefly in the seventh with a right hand.
Rocha finished stronger in the eighth and ninth rounds. In the tenth, the crowd responded as both fighters exchanged to close the fight.
The judges scored the bout 97-93, 98-92, and 100-90 for Rocha.
Fundora scores sixth-round stoppage
Unified flyweight champion Gabriela “Sweet Poison” Fundora (18-0, 10 KOs) stopped Viviana Ruiz (10-3, 5 KOs) at 1:25 of the sixth round in their scheduled 10-round bout.
Fundora used her height and reach advantage from the opening round, working behind her jab and drawing blood from Ruiz’s mouth early. Ruiz had moments in the third round with right hands, but continued to be outworked.
Late in the fourth round, Fundora landed a left uppercut that dropped Ruiz for an eight-count. Fundora continued controlling the fight and pinned Ruiz to the corner at the end of the fifth.
In the sixth round, Fundora landed a series of unanswered punches before referee Ray Corona stepped in to stop the contest.
Undercard results
Welterweight prospect Joel Iriarte (10-0, 9 KOs) stopped “Prince Rock” Dodler Myrthil (17-3-1, 13 KOs) at 2:35 of the sixth round of their scheduled eight-round bout. Iriarte scored a knockdown late in the round before the referee halted the fight.
Middleweight Fabian Guzman (10-0, 8 KOs) defeated Julian “King Julian” Delgado (9-3, 4 KOs) by decision over eight rounds with scores of 77-75 and 79-73 twice.
Lightweight Daniel “Junebug” Garcia (13-0, 10 KOs) stopped Blas Ezequiel Caro (12-9, 5 KOs) at 2:54 of the second round after scoring a knockdown.
Welterweight Cayden Griffiths (9-0, 8 KOs) stopped Omar Ulises Gutierrez Mungia (8-4-1, 6 KOs) at 2:51 of the second round after dropping his opponent.
Super featherweight Leonardo “Bazooka” Sanchez (9-0, 7 KOs) stopped Cesar “Corazon” Juarez (31-19, 24 KOs) at 2:46 of the second round after scoring a knockdown.
