A GOALKEEPER’s outrageous distraction tactic during a penalty shootout has gone viral on social media.
Kieran Baskett pulled out all the stops in an attempt to put off his opponent in Norway‘s promotion/relegation final.

The stopper was Brattvaag’s last hope of winning the tie against Moss after the second leg finished 2-2 on aggregate.
The clubs went to a penalty shootout and Moss were just one successful effort away from winning.
Moss ace Artan Memedov stepped up to take the spotkick and placed the ball on the spot before readying himself.
But before he could take the penalty, Baskett, 24, burst off his line and punted the ball away in an astounding attempt to put him off.

The goalkeeper was instantly shown a yellow card for his action by the referee as a result.
Moss’ coaching staff were furious on the sideline while Memedov sarcastically clapped the goalkeeper.
Fans were bemused by the distraction tactic as they reacted on social media.
One posted: “As if Emi Martinez needed any more ideas…”
A second wrote: “Next level mind games there.”
A third commented: “Quality s***housery there.”
A fourth said: “This is an all time great.”
Another added: “Definitely worth the yellow card.”
But the tactic did not work as Memedov converted from the spot to win the play-off final for Moss.
Baskett started his professional career back in his homeland of Canada with HFX Wanderers.
He made the switch to Europe in 2024 as he joined Brattvaag before moving on to Lierse in Belgium.
He returned to the Norweigian side on loan earlier this year.
