ARSENAL goalkeeper David Raya has announced that he and his wife are expecting their first child.

The 30-year-old’s partner, Tatiana, surprised him with the news and filmed his reaction for a social media announcement.

In the video, she gifted him a white box with a small custom leather jacket inside.

Written on the back of the white, red and blue jacket was the word ‘Daddy’ along with No1 – the number Raya wears for Arsenal.

After opening the present, the Gunners ace could not contain his joy as he gave Tatiana a hug before kissing her belly.

Fans were quick to congratulate the couple, with one person writing: “Congratulations to you both!!

While another said: “Little Gooner loading.”

Real Madrid right-back and Spain international Dani Carvajal also commented: “Congratulations to the couple!!!”

And Arsenal goalkeeper coach Inaki Cana wrote: “Congratulations guys!!! We love you guys so very much!!!”

Raya has made nine appearances for the Gunners so far this season, keeping six clean sheets.

He is now set to be rewarded with improved contract terms.

BBC Sport claims Raya has finalised terms for a deal that will see him earn a pay increase.

It is understood the agreement was made during the summer but Arsenal have not officially announced it.
