ARSENAL have reportedly secured a record-breaking deal to sign wonderkid Victor Ozhianvuna.
The Shamrock Rovers ace has already proven himself in the League of Ireland’s Premier Division.
Ozhianvuna, 16, has already made 15 appearances for the senior Shamrock side and scored once.
The Irish youth international also made a 16-minute cameo in the Conference League tie against Molde FK.
The Athletic have claimed that the deal will surpass the £1.6million that Tottenham Hotspur splashed on Mason Melia from St Patrick’s Athletic.
However, the midfielder will not be on his way to North London any time soon.
Ozhianvuna will sign a pre-contract with the Gunners, which will see him move in January 2027 when he is 18.
This is because he is an EU citizen and will therefore remain at Shamrock for the next 16 months.
The report has also stated that the youngster has already completed his medical.
It is suggested that he could sign his contract with Arsenal this week.
He could become the next teenager to light up the Emirates following Max Dowman’s impressive debut against Leeds United.
The winger, 15, has become the second youngest player to ever feature in the Premier League after team-mate Ethan Nwaneri’s record.
Nwaneri set the record when he made his debut in September 2022, when he was just 15 years and 181 days.
Dowman looked good during his time on the pitch as he won a penalty and almost scored with a volley.
Arsenal have been busy in the transfer market this summer, having spent over £250MILLION on new players.
The likes of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera and Kepa Arrizabalaga have all joined.
