ANGE POSTECOGLOU has been sacked by Nottingham Forest after just 39 DAYS in charge – making it the shortest reign of any permanent manager in Premier League history.
The Aussie boss was shown the door after Forest’s 3-0 thumping by Chelsea, capping off a miserable, winless run since his shock arrival.
Postecoglou failed to win a single game during his eight-match spell, with Forest now finding themselves spiralling toward the relegation zone after yet another managerial gamble backfired.
He replaced Nuno Espirito Santo, who led the club to Europe last season, but he just never really got his ideas through to his players.
But if Big Ange was feeling the pressure, he wasn’t showing it.
Just moments after the defeat at the City Ground he was spotted grinning in a picture with a fan, despite his sacking already confirmed by the club.

The former Tottenham and Celtic manager had been brought in to take the club to the next level and maybe win a trophy but instead he leaves with the worst top-flight record on record for a permanent boss during a Premier League season.
Fans were left stunned by how quickly things unravelled.
One supporter said: “He looked like he’d given up by the second game. No spark, no system. It just didn’t work.”
Another said: “This was the wrong appointment from start and he was never going to get the time he needed.”
Postecoglou is the third managerial casualty of the Premier League season so far, and Forest are now scrambling to line up yet another replacement in a desperate bid to salvage their campaign.
SunSport understand that Forest owner Marinakis likes Fulham’s Marco Silva.
However, the Portuguese tactician would cost £8million to land now due to a clause in his contract.
Former Everton and Burnley manager Sean Dyche has also been mentioned.
