The Detroit Lions released their first injury report of the week on Monday with their next game taking place on Thursday and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was included on the list with a knee injury.

St. Brown’s addition to the injury report is at least somewhat surprising considering he did not exit the Week 12 game against the Indianapolis Colts with an issue at any point.

Detroit saw four players leave with injuries during the contest, including left tackle Taylor Decker, running back David Montgomery, wide receiver Kalif Raymond and cornerback Carlton Davis. Decker was the only one who returned.

Follow along with all of the latest updates on St. Brown’s status for the Week 13 game against the Chicago Bears below.

Amon-Ra St. Brown injury updates

On the Lions’ estimated injury report on Monday, St. Brown was listed as a non-participant. Head coach Dan Campbell briefly spoke on his wide receiver.

“Saint is a little banged up,” Campbell said, per Richard Silva of The Detroit News. “We’ll see how he recovers.”

Campbell said he was concerned about three players possibly missing this week’s game, but St. Brown was not among them, so that’s good news for his status.

The Lions were utilizing St. Brown on punt returns after the injury to Raymond, and while we appreciate St. Brown’s willingness to help fill the void, the Lions shouldn’t be putting him in a role that is another avenue to get hurt.

Whatever the case may be, St. Brown is one of the toughest players in the NFL and it’s going to take an act of God for him not to suit up on Thursday. We fully expect him to be out there, but we’ll continue to monitor his status as the week progresses.
