Serrano shared praise from MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian, who credited her with driving the company’s investment in women’s boxing.

Bidarian highlighted Serrano as the fighter with the most divisions, titles, viewers, and earnings. He also called her the primary reason MVP now works with more than 50 female fighters through agreements connected to ESPN, Sky, Netflix, and DAZN.

MVP made Serrano its first signing before committing to a lifetime contract. Her three fights with Katie Taylor proved that women could headline major events when promoters invested serious money and resources.

Serrano described Bidarian’s recognition as more valuable than another championship.

“I don’t care about anything else. I’m a Multimillionaire Already! I’ve accomplished all my Goals in the ring! Now I want Every other woman to surpass me and continue to open doors for each other,” said Serrano on X.

That stance creates a sharp contrast with Shields’ treatment of Tamm Thibeault. Serrano welcomes future fighters exceeding her achievements, while Shields recently minimized a fellow titleholder whose championships she wants.

“It’s not my fault this girl don’t have the experience that I have. But hey, she got a belt that I know belongs to me, and that’s The Ring belt.”

Thibeault is a two-time Olympian and former world amateur champion who holds the IBF, WBO, and Ring middleweight titles. Questioning her experience lacks credibility because Kaye Scott had only seven professional fights before facing Shields.

The remarks follow years of conflict between Shields and her peers. Laila Ali argued in 2025 that Shields supports other women only while her own position remains secure. Shields was later barred from MVP events after striking Alycia Baumgardner during an argument in a private VIP area.

Shields’ supporters can defend her confrontational style as necessary self-promotion in a sport that gives women limited attention. Serrano presents a different model, celebrating the rise of future champions instead of claiming ownership over their accomplishments.
