ALEXANDER ISAK was not part of a Newcastle family gathering organised by boss Eddie Howe.

The Swede, 25, did not train with his team-mates this morning amid ongoing transfer interest from Liverpool.

Howe’s men returned from their Asia tour following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham in South Korea.

The Magpies returned to training this morning, but Isak was NOT reintegrated into the group.

Instead, Sky Sports‘ Keith Downie reports that the Swede was told to report to Newcastle’s training ground after his team-mates had already left, in order to train solo.

With Toon stars having been away in Asia, Howe invited players’ partners and kids to come to the training ground for a family day.

Isak was not part of the occasion.

The prolific striker missed Newcastle’s Asia tour after telling club bosses that he wanted to leave St James’ Park.

Liverpool subsequently had a £110million bid turned down for Isak.

The Reds could return for the forward, if Newcastle manage to land a replacement.

But their hopes took a knock earlier today when the Toon’s top target Benjamin Sesko opted to join Manchester United instead.
