Early in the second round, Adames landed a double right hand on the chin that dropped Williams for an eight-count from referee Christopher Young. Williams recovered in the third round, though he still lost it. In the fourth and fifth rounds, Adames controlled the action and landed the heavier shots.
The sixth round saw both fighters connect, but Adames again hurt Williams with a right hand to the chin. In the seventh, Williams missed more than he landed as Adames continued to take the rounds.
Williams had better moments in the ninth and tenth, though he was bleeding from the mouth and nose. In the eleventh, Adames knocked Williams’ mouthpiece out with a right hand and tried to press for a finish, but Williams held on.
In the twelfth and final round, referee Young deducted a point from Adames for a second low blow. Adames still had the edge in the closing moments.
Scores were 118-108, 117-109, and 117-109.
Lightweight southpaw Jaycob “Baki” Gomez, 14-1-1 (8), lost a decision to Corey “Top Smooth” Markman, 13-0-1 (9), by a 10-round decision.
In the second round, Markman landed a solid right hand to the chin. Gomez had moments with his right cross, and each fighter had success in stretches. In the fourth, Gomez began bleeding from the mouth as Markman landed the heavier punches.
Gomez came back well in the sixth, having a strong round as both exchanged at close range. The eighth was one of the better rounds of the fight, with Gomez doing well early before Markman hurt him late with a right hand.
In the tenth and final round, Gomez fought with urgency, knowing he may need a stoppage. The two traded punches in an active finish.
Scores were 98-92 twice and 96-94. Referee: Luis Pabon.
In the co-main event, 2024 Olympic bronze medalist super welterweight Omari “Banger” Jones, 6-0 (4), defeated Christian “Ninote” Gomez, 23-7-1 (21) by an eight-round decision.
Jones used his jab and followed with right hands to the body in the opening rounds, taking control early. Gomez had a moment in the fifth when he landed a right hand, but Jones continued to outland him in the sixth and seventh.
In the eighth and final round, Jones stayed on the move and closed out the fight without taking risks.
Scores were 80-72 on all three cards. Referee: Massimo Montanini.
Heavyweight 2024 Olympian Teremoana Teremoana, 10-0 (10) knocked out Curtis “The Hurt” Harper, 19-12 (13) at 2:59 of the first round of a scheduled eight.
Teremoana used his jab early while Harper missed with overhand rights against the taller opponent. In the closing seconds of the round, Teremoana landed a short right hand to the chin that dropped Harper flat on his back. Referee Christopher Young counted him out.
It was Teremoana’s seventh first-round stoppage in ten wins.
