Aaron Rodgers dating timeline: Inside Steelers QB’s relationship history from Danica Patrick to Shailene Woodley

Aaron Rodgers had been the Steelers quarterback for less than a week before he made headlines. Luckily for Pittsburgh, the hadlines weren’t for anything that happened on the field. 

Rodgers signed with the franchise a few days before the start of mandatory minicamp. He must have learned from his time with the Jets because he didn’t miss the start of minicamp. When he was out on the field, the media in attendance were quick to notice he was wearing a ring on his left ring finger. 

After his first practice, Rodgers had his first press conference and was promptly asked if he was married. He confirmed that he was and had been for a few months. We don’t know much about his wife, but it appears his lengthy dating saga has come to an end.

Jessica Szohr

Rodgers was briefly linked to actress Jessica Szohr in 2011, and then in 2014. According to People, the pair were spotted on several occasions, including a bowling alley after party where they were bowling with Taylor Swift. 

Olivia Munn

Rodgers’ first high-profile relationship was still in the world of Hollywood with actress Olivia Munn. They began dating in 2014 and met at the ACM Awards where they presented an award for Song of the Year together. Munn reportedly didn’t know who he was at the time, and just assumed he was a college football player. 

Their first public appearance together was later that year when they attended a film screening together. Rodgers and Munn had been seen on the set of ‘The Newsroom’ when Munn was on the show.

The couple went their separate ways after three years together. Rodgers cited the fact that the relationship was in the public eye as the main reason for the split. 

“When you are living out a relationship in the public eye, it’s definitely … it’s difficult. It has some extra constraints, because you have other opinions about your relationship, how it affects your work and, you know, just some inappropriate connections.” 

Kelly Rohrbach

Rodgers and swimsuit model Kelly Rohrbach spent time together on a golf course in 2017, sparking rumors that they were dating. This ended up just being rumors, and it was never confirmed if the pair was ever more than friends.

Danica Patrick

Rodgers and Danica Patrick met at the 2012 ESPYs and supposedly kept in touch “via email” over the years. They officially started dating in January 2018. Patrick hosted the 2018 ESPYs, and the couple walked the red carpet together. By the end of 2019, they had bought a house together in Malibu, California. 

They spent the start of 2020 together, but only lasted half the year. After two and a half years together, the couple called it quits in July 2020. 

Shailene Woodley

Rodgers is never single for long. By the start of 2021 rumors were swirling that he and actress Shailene Woodley were an item. By February, it was confirmed by several outlets that they were indeed together. 

A few days after the news went public, Rodgers accepted the 2020 NFL MVP Award. During his acceptance speech, he said that he and Woodley were engaged. She confirmed his report when she had an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The interesting thing was that she said she and Rodgers had been engaged “for a while.” There were only about eight months between Rodgers and Patrick’s breakup and the engagement to Woodley getting announced. 

They were engaged for a little over a year, fighting off frequent rumors that their relationship had ended. The couple did confirm that they split in April 2022. 

Mallory Edens

In January 2023, People reported that Rodgers was dating Mallory Edens. She is a model and also the daughter of Bucks owner Wes Edens. The couple was rumored to be keeping things casual, and it’s unclear whether they ever officially started dating or when they broke up.

“Brittani”

Rodgers was doing one of his appearances on the Pat McAfee Show in December. He mentioned doing Christmas shopping for his girlfriend. The host pried a little and found out that the quarterback was dating someone, and it was serious. All Rodgers would say was that her name was Brittani, and made sure to point out that it was spelled with an ‘i’. 

She came up in conversation again when he was on the McAfee Show during free agency, talking about where he was at mentally and physically, as well as why he hadn’t signed with a team at that point. 

We haven’t heard anything else about Brittani, including whether that is even her real name. Supposedly, that is who he is now married to, but Rodgers may have learned from past relationships and is keeping this part of his private life private for now.
