Teraji vs Sandoval, Vargas vs Higa, Rosa vs Takami: Three World Title Fights On July 30 In Japan

Japan’s boxing scene is turning up the heat on Wednesday, July 30, as Teiken Promotions lines up a triple world title card at Yokohama Buntai. Three belts on the line, and not a snoozer in sight.

Kenshiro Teraji, Antonio Vargas, and Erick Rosa are all putting their titles up against hungry challengers—and with styles like these, don’t blink.

Teraji returns for another war – can Sandoval spoil the homecoming?

WBC and WBA flyweight king Kenshiro Teraji (25-1, 16 KOs) is back after that wild comeback win over Seigo Yuri Akui in March. He’s got power, grit, and world title experience—but don’t sleep on Ricardo Sandoval (26-2, 18 KOs).

The Californian’s got quick hands and zero respect. He didn’t fly to Japan for a photo op—he’s coming to crack Teraji in the mouth. Both guys love a tear-up, so forget footwork and gameplans. Expect heavy shots, no defence, and someone going down by round four.

Vargas and Higa both throw bombs – someone’s hitting the deck

The bantamweight fight between Antonio Vargas (19-1-1, 11 KOs) and Daigo Higa (21-3-2, 19 KOs) might steal the night. Vargas has speed and sharp boxing, but he’s been dropped before. Higa? He walks forward and looks to smash blokes early.

Vargas wants to keep it clean. Higa wants chaos. Styles clash, fists fly, and fans win either way. If this goes the full 12, it’ll be a shock.

Rosa and Takami put their 0s on the line

In the light flyweight title fight, Dominican slickster Erick Rosa (8-0, 2 KOs) meets unbeaten Japanese puncher Kyosuke Takami (9-0, 7 KOs). Rosa’s got a deep amateur background and already holds world titles in two divisions. Takami’s young, strong, and confident—he even called a round 6 KO at the presser.

Rosa shrugged it off, but the tension’s real. This one’s classic: speed vs power, pressure vs poise. Could turn into a proper scrap.
