De Bruyne number confirmed
Kevin De Bruyne has had his Napoli number confirmed.
While snaps of him wearing Diego Maradona’s iconic 10 in training emerged recently, he is not going to take the retired number.
Instead, De Bruyne will take Lukaku’s number 11.
However, Lukaku remains at the club, so his number is yet to be revealed.
Noa Lang joins Napoli
26-year-old Noa Lang has made the switch from PSV to Serie A.
He will join the Italian champions Napoli, linking up with Antonio Conte.
He joins Kevin De Bruyne in making the switch to Napoli this summer.
Lookman on the move
Arsenal and Manchester United were among the clubs linked with Atalanta star Ademola Lookman during the summer transfer window.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Lookman still plans to leave the Serie A outfit.
Inter Milan are preparing an official bid after positive talks with the striker’s camp.
Inter have made an opening offer worth £34.6million but Atalanta want more.
Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on the Nigeria international.
Man Utd’s improved Mbeumo bid
Manchester United have tabled an improved bid for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.
That is according to transfer insider David Ornstein, who reports an offer worth a fixed £65million has been made by United.
Man Utd have also bid £5m in add-ons for Mbeumo in their third attempt to land him.
The Red Devils are now waiting to hear the Bees’ response.
Newcastle’s Ekitike alternative
Newcastle are launching a swoop for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa after missing out on Huge Ekitike.
The Magpies knocked back an approach from Liverpool this week for their top scorer Alexander Isak – leading to the Reds snatching French ace Ekitike from Howe’s clutches.
Now Toon boss Eddie Howe is set for another transfer battle with Tottenham over 28-year-old Wissa.
The Bees want around £40m for the Congo striker, who only has a year left on his contract.
Nottingham Forest had a £25m offer rejected earlier this summer.
Tottenham are also interested, although Mohammed Kudus’ arrival could have cooled their pursuit.
But Newcastle know they must still act fast to bring in the new forward Howe craves and are expected to ramp up their move for Wissa as they continue to explore other targets having already missed out on Joao Pedro and Ekitike.
SunSport understands that a fee of around £30m could be enough for Toon to land the Brentford ace, who scored 19 goals last term.
But any move for Wissa may hinge on whether Manchester United can finally land his team-mate Bryan Mbeumo.

But only if there was a swap deal in place between the two clubs.
