AC Milan ‘exploring Rasmus Hojlund transfer’ after Man Utd agreed £65million Bryan Mbeumo deal

AC MILAN could swoop for Rasmus Hojlund after Manchester United finally agreed a deal for Bryan Mbeumo.

The Italians are desperate for a new striker and hope United will take a hit on their misfiring Danish striker.

United signed Hojlund, 24, two years ago for a huge £72million.

But he suffered another tough season, scoring just four times in the the Premier League.

And United now value him as low as £29.5m.

Now, Sky Sports say Milan are ready to find out what United’s terms would be as they work out whether a deal could be possible financially.

Hojlund has expressed his intent to remain at Old Trafford and prove his worth, and is contracted until 2028.

But he could find regular football harder to come by in the upcoming season after United agreed a transfer worth £71million for Mbuemo.

United had been dragging their feet in their pursuit of the Cameroon international but were finally successful with a belated third bid.

Mbeumo, 25, scored a total of 20 goals in the Premier League last season for the Bees.

Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation is expected to have Mbeumo on the right, alongside other new United recruit Matheus Cunha on the left.

Cunha cost the team £62.5m and is joining from Wolves.

The 26-year-old Brazilian scored 15 times as well as contributing six assists in the Premier League last season.

And the would leave Hojlund competing with the likes of Joshua Zirkzee for the remaining spot in the side.
