Saudi chiefs ‘consider world record £302MILLION transfer for Vinicius Jr’ with Real Madrid star offered £475k per DAY

SAUDI PRO LEAGUE chiefs are considering a record shattering bid to sign Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr, according to reports.

Vinicius Jr, 25, is being targeted by the head honchos in the Middle East amid delays over contract negotiations with Madrid.

The Brazilian winger is widely considered one of the best players in world football and, according to TalkSPORT, Saudi dealmakers want to convince him to join the Saudi Pro League in his prime.

It’s claimed that chiefs are prepared to make an offer to Real Madrid worth in the region of £302MILLION to convince them to let Vinicius Jr leave.

That bid would obliterate the current record transfer fee of £200m paid by Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar in 2017.

While it even tops Al-Hilal’s failed £257m bid to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG in 2023.

Saudi bosses are thought to be encouraged by the fact there has been no formal announcement of a new deal for Vinicius Jr at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Vinicius has been in negotiations over fresh terms with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2027.

Those in charge in Saudi are said to have a patient approach for the transfer, with the goal of bringing Vinicius Jr to the growing league within the next three years, even if he does sign a new deal in Spain.

Al Ahli have been earmarked as his potential destination should a Saudi switch come to fruition, with the Public Investment Fund [PIF] and the Saudi Ministry of Sport said to feel the club are “owed” the next big star.

Vinicius Jr has been public in his desire to stay at Real Madrid, but could be swayed by the reported mammoth contract on the table from Saudi Arabia.

It’s claimed that the former Flamengo star has been sent a written non-binding offer of a five-year deal worth £866MILLION including add-ons.

That kind of money would make Vinicius Jr one of the highest paid players in world football, earning the equivalent of £475,000-per-day and £3.3MILLION-per-week.

To put that into perspective, the Premier League’s highest paid player, Erling Haaland, earns over five times less than that figure on his £525,000-per-week salary at Man City.

In fact, Vinicius would be making £19,829 every hour and £330 every minute.

Vinicius scored 22 goals and registered 19 assists for Real Madrid in 58 appearances last season.

While he was voted as runner-up in the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony, losing out to Man City’s Rodri.

Saudi chiefs are reportedly keen to lure Vinicius their way by the the 2027/28 season at the latest, hoping to sign him in his prime rather than the twilight of his career.

The Saudi Pro League has already attracted some of the biggest talent in world football since it began its ambitious plan to become a dominant global force.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Ivan Toney and Sadio Mane are just a handful of the big-name players to make the jump in recent seasons.
