Tonight’s Live Results: Berlanga vs. Sheeraz and Stevenson vs. Zepeda – From Queens

Edgar Berlanga takes on Hamzah Sheeraz in their WBC super middleweight title eliminator tonight in their 12-round main event at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. In the co-main, Shakur Stevenson defends his WBC lightweight title against William Zepeda in a 12-rounder.

Tonight’s main card will be streamed on DAZN PPV at 6:00 p.m. ET for $59.99. The ring walks for Berlanga-Sheeraz are expected at 9:55 p.m. ET / 6:55 p.m. PT.

Berlanga (23-1, 18 KOs) and the unbeaten Sheeraz (21-0-1, 17 KOs) are hoping to face undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez next in early 2026. So, there’s potentially a big payday awaiting the winner of this fight.

Edgar Berlanga vs. Hamzah Sheeraz
Shakur Stevenson vs. William Zepeda
Alberto Puello vs. Subriel Matias
David Morrell vs. Imam Khataev
Reito Tsutsumi vs. Isiah Rodrigues
Mohammed Alakel vs. Placido Hoff

This will be Sheeraz, 26, making his debut at 168, and it’s difficult to know how well he’ll perform against the big puncher Berlanga. The 6’3″ Brit, Hamzah, has the punching power to KO Edgar and the technical skills to outbox him.

The magic question is how well Sheeraz’s chin will hold up against Berlanga, who is arguably a light heavyweight in size, melting down from the 190s to compete at 168. If he rehydrates to 193 like he did against Canelo, it’s going to be tough for Sheeraz to handle that kind of size in his first fight at super middleweight.

Stevenson’s Toughest Test Yet

In the chief support bout, Shakur Stevenson (23-0, 11 KOs) faces the aggressive, high-pressure fighter William Zepeda (33-0, 27 KOs) in a fight that will test whether the WBC champion can handle being under a nonstop attack. Zepeda is unlike anyone that Stevenson has fought before during his career, as he’s going after him the entire contest.

Shakur is used to facing fighters who occasionally press him, and allow him to potshot and move around. Most of the fighters Stevenson has faced have been lesser sub-B level, old, slow, weak, and not applying pressure. Zepeda’s high output and pressure could force Stevenson to actually fight to survive because he cannot run the entire night and win.

Morrell vs. Khataev: Light Heavyweight Clash

Light heavyweight David Morrell (11-1, 9 KOs) fights 2020 Olympic bronze medalist Imam Khataev (10-0, 9 KOs) in a fight that a lot of fans are interested in watching. Morrell is coming off a decision defeat against David Benavidez last February, but he looked impressive in that fight. He dropped Benavidez and dominated the final three rounds with his power punching against the tired Mexican Monster.
