Gunners make move for England star

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on an agreement with Crystal Palace for the transfer of attacker Eberechi Eze.

According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal have offered a £45m upfront fee with performance-related add-ons to take the total package towards Eze’s £67.5m release clause, a structure Palace are said to be happy with.

Personal terms are not set to cause an issue either, with the 27-year-old being offered a contract worth double his current remuneration at Selhurst Park.

Arsenal fixture changes

Arsenal have been handed three fixture changes already after the Premier League announced the TV choices for the first few weeks of the upcoming campaign.

The Gunners’ clashes with Manchester United, Leeds and Liverpool have all been moved.

Here’s when those three games will now be played…

  • Sunday, August 17 – Manchester United (A), 4.30pm | Sky Sports
  • Saturday, August 23 – Leeds United (H), 5:30pm | Sky Sports
  • Sunday, August 31 – Liverpool (A), 4.30pm | Sky Sports

Cazorla set for last dance

Arsenal icon and fan-favourite Santi Cazorla is set for a season of top flight football that will see him playing at 41 years old.

Cazorla, who turns 41 in December, is reportedly close to penning a new one-year deal with boyhood club Real Oviedo after helping them secure promotion back into La Liga for the first time since 2001.

According to The Athletic, Oviedo are confident that Cazorla will renew his contract to play next term.

The veteran midfielder re-joined Oviedo in 2023, having spent his formative years in the club’s academy.

Cazorla played 180 times for Arsenal between 2012 and 2018, scoring 29 goals and helping the club win two FA Cups.
