VIDEO: Shakur Stevenson vs William Zepeda – Preview & Prediction

The contrasting styles in this one should produce a very entertaining clash. Stevenson will turn 28 years old at the end of this month, and Zepeda just turned 29 earlier this month. So both of these guys are young and right in the midst of their respective physical primes. Adding further intrigue to the equation, both of these guys are southpaws, which in itself is something that could make things very interesting, especially since both of these guys have experience facing fellow southpaws.

Zepeda is coming off of back to back victories against a fellow southpaw, Tevin Farmer. In their first fight last November, Zepeda was awarded a 10 round split decision in victory. In their rematch back in March, Zepeda won again, this time being awarded a 12 round majority decision. These were both difficult hard earned victories for Zepeda. On the other side, Stevenson had his last bout back in February. Originally he was scheduled to have a showdown against Floyd Schofield. But Schofield pulled out just days before the fight, and Josh Padley stepped in as a last minute replacement. Stevenson dominated the fight, dropping Padley three times in round 9 to score the stoppage victory.a

So who will win the upcoming fight between Shakur Stevenson and William Zepeda?

This edition of Rummy’s Corner will attempt to answer that question, while also providing a quick preview of the fight, including recent highlights from both boxers careers. Please watch and enjoy the video for one man’s opinion. This is Rummy’s Corner (produced and narrated by Geoffrey Ciani).
