Lightweight contender Floyd Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs) completely annihilated Tevin Farmer (33-9-1, 8 KOs) by a first-round technical knockout on Saturday night in their scheduled 10-round undercard fight at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Farmer Unprepared for Schofield Power
Farmer, 36, came out of the blocks looking slow, pawing with his jaw, bending forward in front of the young power-puncher Schofield. The former IBF super featherweight champion Farmer appeared to be unprepared, and he paid the price.
Schofield unleashed a straight right that knocked Farmer to the canvas. When Tevin got to his feet, he looked dazed, letting the referee know he was okay. He wasn’t. Schofield went after him like a hungry shark, connecting with three big shots to put Farmer down for a second time.
Surprisingly, the referee, Gerald White, allowed the fight to continue despite Farmer not appearing to be mentally present. Schofield then tagged him with three booming punches, leaving the referee no choice but to halt the contest. The time was at 1:18 of round one.

All of them. I’ll let Oscar guide my career. They’re doing a good job,” said Schofield when asked if he wants to fight Abdullah Mason, Shakur Stevenson, and Raymond Muratalla. “I was supposed to fight Shakur. So obviously, they’re doing something good. So, hopefully, the winner of Shakur and Zepeda. If not that, bigger things for sure.”
It’s unlikely that Schofield will get a chance to fight the winner of the Shakur vs. Zepeda fight, but it’s possible if Turki Alalshikh wants it.
