Curmel Moton And Zaquin Moses Gives Us A Glimpse Into The Future

Like most sports, boxing is based on evolution, and as the next generation of talent starts to build their foundations, two young up-and-coming stars gave us a glimpse into the future when Curmel Moton and Zaquin Moses had an impromptu face-off.

Moton and Moses are two young, talented boxers who are currently in the beginning stages of their pro careers. They’ve already crossed paths in the amateurs, but a future Moton vs Moses clash in the professional ranks has the potential to be an epic event.

Curmel Moton made his highly anticipated debut back in September 2023 when he stopped Ezequiel Flores in the first round. After two relatively easy knockout victories, Moton found himself in a bit of a battle with Anthony Cuba, but he still won via unanimous decision.

The young prodigy remained active, producing a four-fight knockout streak. In his most recent trip inside the squared circle, Moton was able to get some work in, as his match went the full eight rounds.

In his May 2025 bout against Renny Mastrapa, Moton was extremely aggressive as he pressed forward and dictated the pace. Moton displayed his punch placement and his power as he cruised to a unanimous decision victory.

Curmel Moton has 8 victories with no defeats as a pro. During his amateur career, Moton was an 18-time national champion with an impeccable win-loss record, but his last amateur defeat came against a young man who is now planting the seed for his professional career.

Newark, New Jersey native Zaquin Moses made his pro debut back in November 2024 when he scored a unanimous decision victory over Michael Ruiz. He would go on to post two consecutive stoppage victories.

In his most recent ring appearance, Zaquin Moses showcased his speed, power, and punch placement as he stopped Carl Rogers in the fourth round. Moses is gradually building his pro career, but recently he ran into a rival from the past who will most likely become his rival of the future.

Back in March 2023, Zaquin Moses faced Curmel Moton in the National qualifier amateur bout. Throughout the fight, Moton aggressively pressed forward while Moses effectively fought off the back foot. At the conclusion of the bout, Zaquin Moses was declared the winner.

Recently, 20-year-old Zaquin Moses (4-0, 3 KOs) and 19-year-old Curmel Moton (8-0, 6 KOs) ran into each other at the Junior Olympics. In the midst of a very hyper crowd, Moton and Moses had a face-off.

During the face-off, Curmel Moton shouted, “I’m stopping you! I’m stopping you!” Zaquin Moses responded by shouting, “I’m gonna f**k him up! I’m gonna f**k him up!”

Curmel Moton and Zaquin Moses are two young, highly skilled boxers who have all the tools. A Moton vs Moses clash is a matchup that will happen in the future, and more than likely it will be one of those types of battles in which somebody’s 0 has got to go.
