PEDRO NETO clashed with a host of Los Angeles FC players as tempers flared in the Club World Cup.
The Chelsea star was held back by teammates at half-time of the Group D clash in Atlanta.
Neto gave the Blues a deserved lead with a well-taken goal just before the break.
But he was on the receiving end of some lip from Los Angeles players as Chelsea headed to the dressing room.
The Portuguese forward appeared to exchange words with LAFC’s Denis Bouanga after the half-time whistle was blown.
Neto had challenged Bouanga for the ball just before referee Jesus Valenzuela halted proceedings.
The French winger began to shout after Neto, who pretended to plant a kiss on Bouanga’s cheek.
The pair began shoving, with the assistant referee trying to move Neto away from the situation.
Chelsea players were forced to get in between the pair to avoid any escalation, with Reece James rushing over to break things up.
Both Neto and Bouanga were able to avoid any punishment from referee Valenzuela.
The handbags failed to overshadow what was a good half for Enzo Maresca’s men in searing heat.
Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson both started for Chelsea, who arguably should have been more than a goal up at the break.
Jackson turned provider for Neto, who broke the deadlock in the 34th minute.
The Portuguese winger was set free down the right and despite a poor first touch, brilliantly turned away from Ryan Hollingshead.
Neto sized up Hugo Lloris in goal, before slamming an unstoppable shot in at the near post.
It’s not the first time tempers have reached a pitch at this year’s Club World Cup, which only began on Saturday.
Lionel Messi appeared to HEADBUTT an Al-Ahly star as tempers flared during the Club World Cup opener.
Inter Miami were held to a goalless draw by the Egyptian side in the early hours of Sunday morning.
