FENERBAHCE have reportedly made a shock swoop for Kyle Walker.
The Manchester City defender spent the second half of last season on loan with AC Milan after informing the club he wants to move on to pastures new.
Walker, 35, is now in limbo after Milan rejected the opportunity to permanently acquire his services.
But according to reports, Fenerbahce, who are managed by Jose Mourinho, are looking to snap him up.
That’s according to Turkish reporter Yagız Sabuncuoglu, who claims last season’s Super Lig runners-up have tabled an offer for the England international.
He wrote on X: “Fenerbahce made an official offer for Manchester City‘s Kyle Walker.”
City chief Guardiola has appeared to send Walker a clear message over his future by leaving him out of his squad for the Club World Cup.
The former Sheffield United and Tottenham star is now seemingly on course to leave the Etihad after eight trophy-laden seasons.
According to Guardiola, Walker asked to leave Eastlands after City’s historic treble-winning 2022/23 season.
The Spaniard said: “Kyle asked to explore the option to play abroad.
“He asked after the Treble, when Bayern Munich wanted him, but the offer was not good enough
“I prefer to play players whose mind is here.
“We cannot understand the success that the club had these years without Kyle. It is impossible.
“He has been our right-back and given us something we didn’t have. He’s been amazing.
“But now in his mind, for many reasons, he would like to explore if he can go to another country to play his last years.”
