George Kambosos Jr. had IBF light welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins rattled today in their face-to-face on the top of the Empire State Building in New York to promote their fight on Saturday, June 14th. Kambosos Jr. (22-3, 10 KOs) told Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) that he expects him to make a “run for it” on Saturday rather than stand and fight.

Kambosos Blames Ticket Sales
Hitchins spent much of the time trying to encourage Kambosos to make a side bet of $50,000. It’s unclear if Richardson’s purse is too small, and he needs the extra money. He’s not a big name, obviously, but with the way that he was pushing, it came across as desperation for extra dough.
Unsold Tickets: MSG Disaster?
Note: Kambosos revealed today that there are still 4,000 unsold tickets for their event at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The venue seats 5,600. If those numbers are accurate, it would be a disaster. Kambosos seemed to be blaming it on Hitchins because he’s from New York, and he should be able to sell more tickets than 1,600.
Richardson Hitchins: “You’re going to get knocked out.”
George Kambosos: “You’re going to run for it.”
Hitchins: “From you? You don’t got a chin. You’ve been down with a body shot and a headshot. I’ve never been down in my life in boxing.”
Kambosos: “Your breath stinks.”
Hitchins: “I’m going to break your face, bro. I’m going to break your face.”
Kambosos: “New York is my hometown. You’re not Lomachenko. You look scared and skinny, too. You’re going to hold me. You’re going to run.”
Hitchins: “You’re son is going to get hurt. You better stop the fight. If you love your son, you’re going to stop it.”
Kambosos: “There are 4000 tickets left. What happened to your belt? I want a new belt. That reminds me of you. Trash.”
Hitchins: “Liam Paro is a better fighter than you. I’m going to smoke you.”
