Chelsea launch first official bid for Jamie Gittens after agreeing deal with Borussia Dortmund star on seven-year deal

CHELSEA have launched an opening bid for Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, according to reports.

And a seven-year contract has already been agreed.

The Blues are keen to add the England Under-21 international to their squad this summer.

And The Athletic claim they have now officially submitted a transfer proposal to the Bundesliga side.

SunSport reported earlier this week that Chelsea were keen to secure an £80million English double header.

They have already secured the £30m acquisition of Liam Delap.

And now they are hoping to test Dortmund’s resolve by swooping for Gittens.

But whether they are successful or not, Gittens will be in action at the Club World Cup.

Dortmund are in Group F with Fluminense, Ulsan HD and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Chelsea, meanwhile, will hope to top Group D which features Flamengo, Esperance de Tunis and Los Angeles FC.
