Mayweather Promotions Duo of Curmel Moton and John Easter Are Prelims Featured Attractions

In the preliminary portion of the Prime Video card that is co-headlined by Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo, the immensely talented Mayweather Promotions duo of John Easter and Curmel Moton will be in action on Saturday night, May 31st, at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Since they’re in the early stages of their respective careers, both John Easter and Curmel Moton prioritize staying active. Each time they step inside the squared circle, both fighters are focused on showcasing their skills and making a statement.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, but currently fighting out of Las Vegas, John “Candyman” Easter grew up in the Mayweather gym. The 6’1″ super-middleweight started his pro boxing career off in impressive fashion as he posted seven consecutive knockout victories.

Easter’s most recent fight occurred back in February 2025, when he faced Joseph Aguilar. In his first seven bouts, Easter showed his punching power, but in his match against Aguilar, he put his skill set on display as he scored an impressive win via unanimous decision.

Now John “Candyman” Easter (8-0, 7 KOs) is set to take on Andres Martinez (5-3, 3 KOs). In this particular matchup, the expectation is for John Easter to entertain, show different layers of his game, and produce a dominant victory.

The second half of the Mayweather Promotions duo is a young boxer who is recognized as the face of the company. The 18-year-old prodigy Curmel “Big Deal” Moton (7-0, 6 KOs) will be in action on the preliminary fight card, as he is set to take on Renny Mastrapa (4-1-1, 2 KOs).

Moton started his pro boxing career with two knockout victories, and in his third professional fight, he earned a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Cuba. After his bout with Cuba, Moton went on a four-fight knockout streak.

The last time Moton competed inside the ring was back in February 2025 when he fought Frank Zaldivar. In the opening round of the scheduled 8-round bout, Moton worked off the jab and landed sharp combinations throughout the course of the opening round.

At the 1:24 mark of the third round, Moton proceeded to land clean punches for the next 13 seconds. Finally, referee Harvey Dock had seen enough, as he decided to step in and put a halt to the contest.

When Curmel Moton steps inside the squared circle on Saturday night, he plans on extending his KO streak to five. Nicknamed “Big Deal,” Moton is a dynamic young talent who has speed, power, technique, and good punch placement.

Curmel Moton has a list of young contenders who are currently on his radar, but before he can focus on the list, he must direct his attention to the task that must be completed on Saturday night, May 31st, live on Prime Video.
