Sky Sports forced to apologise as Sunderland star swears on live TV after last touch for club earns them promotion

SKY SPORTS were forced to apologise after Sunderland’s play-off hero Tom Watson accidentally swore live on air.

Winger Watson – set for a £10million move to Brighton – sealed an incredible comeback for the Black Cats at Wembley.

His finish in the 95th MINUTE sent Sunderland up to the Premier League – signing off in style.

And emotions were running high in his post-match interview as he accidentally swore – with Sky forced to apologise.

Watson has come through Sunderland’s academy and spent three seasons as a first-team player.

And after 30 games and ten goals this season, it earned him a Premier League move to Brighton after the two clubs agreed a £10m deal.
