Tom Brady plans comeback from retirement reportedly to join new football team

According to a new report, the GOAT wants to play more football.

The Daily Mail reported on Friday that Tom Brady wants to return to the gridiron to represent the United States flag football team at the 2028 Olympics.

“He wants a Gold medal,” Daily Mail writes. “And what better way to remain the GOAT and return to the sport he loves, by helping his country win gold.”

NFL owners unanimously approved their players to compete in the 2028 Games.

Brady didn’t even need that approval, though, given he’s retired.

At 47 years old now, Brady will be 50 for the 2028 Olympics (and turn 51 just a few days after the closing ceremonies.

The Olympics will be in Los Angeles, a much easier trip for Brady than somewhere halfway around the world.

“He knows he would be able to help and excel in that environment and since his life is very much scheduled and has a tight regimen, so many things could fall into place for him around that time,” Daily Mail writes.

Interestingly, Brady might have a bit of real merit if this report is true.

NFL teams won’t want to let their starting quarterbacks leave at the start of training camp.

Brady will be unencumbered. He certainly can still spin it.

The one negative for Brady in the flag football setting may be his lack of mobility. Since someone can rush right off the snap and there isn’t any blocking, Brady could be a sitting duck if his movement skills aren’t up to the task.

But honestly, who would bet against Brady? He’s the GOAT for a reason.
