Notre Dame hockey begins its 2024-25 home slate with a two-game set against Alaska this weekend, airing exclusively on Peacock.
The Fighting Irish (2-0) secured a pair of road victories last weekend against St. Lawrence and Clarkson, respectively. Sophomore forward Cole Knuble (three goals) and senior forward Justin Janicke (three assists) lead the team with four points apiece.
Notre Dame, which began the year ranked 20th in the USCHO national poll, now finds itself at 18th in the rankings.
The Fighting Irish have failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in consecutive seasons, but they have aspirations of bucking that trend this year. Previously, Notre Dame had qualified for seven consecutive NCAA tournaments.
Alaska (0-4) eyes its first win of the young season, after dropping two games each to Penn Sate and Michigan Tech. Two of those defeats came in overtime, with three losses coming by just a single goal.
