England star admits speeding SIX TIMES in just two months as he’s banned from driving

AN ENGLAND star has admitted to speeding six times in just two months as he is banned from driving.

The footballer was slapped with a £3,996 fine and handed three points for each offence at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court this week.

Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, 25, has had his license revoked for six months after pleading guilty at the sentencing hearing on Monday.

The athlete rocketed over the 70mph limit on a dual carriageway and confessed to exceeding a strict 60mph cap on other occasions.

Gibbs-White was even captured doing a staggering 96mph between Stragglethorpe Road and Lings Bar Road – committing yet another speeding offence.

He was also spotted speeding twice on December 5 at 1.02am and 7.13pm and again on Christmas Day at 9.18am.

Initially, the footy star was told he’d have to cough up an eye-watering £6,000 for his offences but the price was slashed after he eventually pleaded guilty.

The penalties were dropped to £666 and he was told to pay an additional £1,598 victim surcharge and £110 in court costs.

He also faced 19 penalty points on his license – a sizeable amount given that most drivers face a ban if they accumulate 12 points on their license within a three year period.

Gibbs-White was celebrated for keeping Nottingham Forest afloat in the first two years back in the Premier League.

He signed to the club on a 5-year-contract with a transfer fee which was reportedly worth £25 million.

There was also an additional £17 million on the table for add-ons.

Pep Guardiola aims sly dig at rivals Man Utd hours after their heroic Europa League comeback

In May 28, 2023, he was voted Nottingham Forest Player of the Season as his star continued to rise.

His successful streak put him on the radar for Manchester City’s radar.

Reportedly, a move is in the works for the star to replace departing club legend Kevin de Bruyne.

However, Forest have reportedly slapped a £100m price tag on the England midfielder, who has five goals and nine assists in 34 Prem games this term.

The club was in the to five for most of the campaign but has since slid down to seventh.

Gibbs-White described the slump as “just frustrating.”

He said: “We’re new to it but we still fighting and building as a team and a club.

“It’s been a tough season, very demanding especially when we’ve put ourselves in the positions we have.

“I can’t put a reason on it.

“Fatigue? Tiredness? But we can’t make excuses because the fans deserve better – we can’t concede goals like we did here, it’s just frustrating.”
