West Ham confirm four stars’ exits including 300-appearance club legend with three games still to go this season

WEST HAM have confirmed that four stars will leave the club when their contracts expire this summer.

Graham Potter is keen to reshape his struggling squad in his image.

West Ham are 17th in the Premier League with just nine wins under their belt.

But with three games of the season still to play, the club has now confirmed that four big-name first-team stars will be released this summer.

Aaron Cresswell, Lukasz Fabianski, Vladimir Coufal and Danny Ings will leave east London when their deals run out next month.

The quartet will continue to feature between now and the end of the campaign.

And their final home game will come on May 18 against Nottingham Forest.

Hammers boss Potter paid tribute to all four players, saying: “Aaron, Lukasz, Vladimir and Danny have been a pleasure to work with in my time here so far.

“All brilliant professionals on and off the pitch, with fantastic experience in the Premier League, and clearly loved and admired by their team-mates and everyone here at the Club.

“We still have three important matches to play this season, and I know that their focus will be 100% on helping the team in any way they can in those games.

“But we felt it was important to confirm this news now, out of respect for them and the service they have given to the Club, and to allow our supporters to show their appreciation at our final home match of the season.”

Cresswell is the longest-serving player to go, with the 35-year-old defender making 365 appearances and scoring 11 goals for the Hammers.

He joined in 2014 on a £4million deal from Ipswich Town and made eight appearances during their victorious Europa League campaign in 2022/23.

Cresswell was also capped three times by England between 2016 and 2017.

And he was crowned Hammer of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year in 2015.

As for goalkeeper Fabianski, the 40-year-old joined West Ham in 2018 from Swansea for £7m.

He’s since played 215 times in all competitions and previously won the FA Cup with Arsenal in 2014.

Defender Coufal, 32, signed for the Hammers in 2020 for £5.5m from Slavia Prague and has featured 173 times.

He lost his spot in the side to Aaron Wan-Bissaka this season and has appeared just 15 times in the league.

Finally, striker Ings is on the move two-and-a-half years after a £15m switch from Aston Villa.

His time at the London Stadium has been blighted by injury though, with Ings scoring just five goals in 69 matches.
