Sebastian Fundora 152 3/4 vs Chordale Booker 152 1/2 – Weigh-in Results for Saturday

WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundor and challenger Chordale Booker successfully made weight today at their weigh-in for their event this Saturday, March 22nd, with the start time at 8:00 pm ET / 4:00 pm PT  on PBC on Prime Video from the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.

Fundora (21-1-1, 13 KOs) is coming off a one-year layoff after his grueling 12-round split decision win over WBO 154-lb champion Tim Tszyu on March 30. The choice of Booker (23-1, 11 KOs) was obviously made in mind to avoid Fundora losing his title after the long layoff. However, there’s still a risk involved due to the layoff and the punishment Sebastian absorbed against the heavy-handed Tszyu.

Weigh-in Results

Sebastian Fundora 152.8 vs. Chordale Booker 152.6
Jose Ramos Jr. 155.8 vs. Guido Emmanuel Schramm 154.6
Elijah Garcia 159.6 vs. Terrell Gausha 160.2

“Opportunity of a lifetime. I can’t say enough about how I feel. This is the pinnacle of the sport. You can’t get any higher. I’m at the top of the world right now,” said Chordale Booker to Fighthype about his title challenge to WBC and WBO junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora this Saturday night.

Booker has a real chance of winning this fight if he can follow the blueprint created by Brian Mendoza to attack Fundora with uppercuts and focus on his power game. He’s not going to win this fight by trying to outbox him or beat him on volume. That approach doesn’t work.

“If you don’t come out and have a huge backing with a lot of money behind you and dollars pushing you forward in the sport, you got to grind it out. I love boxing, and I love competing. So, I chose to take this route because I had nobody to back me. Tomorrow, I’m going to get my hand raised,” Booker continued.

“I’m going to do whatever it takes to get the victory. I have all the tools in my bag. I don’t know what I’m going to have to show out to make. I actually, know I’m going to have to pull out everything. I don’t know what round that he’s going to feel that he has to do something different. I’m going to have to change it up.”

What Booker has going against him is a lack of power, as he’s not shown much of it during his career. However, if he can land the perfect shots, he has a chance of winning.
