Bears, Caleb Williams predicted to lose All-Pro to Raiders

Bears, Caleb Williams predicted to lose All-Pro to Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders went from a team with arguably the most questions in the NFL to a somewhat bright future. In the immediate term, the Raiders look to be a much better team than they were over the past few seasons.

If Geno Smith plays at a decent level, and head coach Pete Carroll continues to be what he once was with the Seattle Seahawks, the Raiders should be a competitive team.

While they might not be a Super Bowl contender, Las Vegas could be a few moves away from finally competing with the other top teams in the AFC West.

But in order for the Raiders to do that, they’ll need to make another move or two, mainly to their wide receiver room.

There are still a few under-the-radar free agents available, including Keenan Allen of the Chicago Bears. Allen didn’t have his best season with the Bears, but he was playing with a rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams and a questionable coaching staff.

The Raiders would be wise to give him an opportunity to prove he still has plenty left in the tank, and Nick Shook of NFL.com wants them to do just that, predicting them to land Allen.

“The 6-2 Allen knows the AFC West quite well, thanks to the many years spent with the Chargers. By the end of last season, Las Vegas felt like an afterthought, but by hiring Pete Carroll and acquiring Smith, the Raiders quickly shifted their identity and now appear focused on climbing up the NFL ladder, with a group of veterans leading the way. Adding Allen to the mix will be fun, I promise,” Shook wrote.

32 years old, Allen is getting up there in age.

However, in the 2023 season for the Los Angeles Chargers, he posted 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns.

If he gave the Raiders similar production, he’d be the perfect addition to Smith and Carroll.
