The Green Bay Packers have gone all-in on quarterback Jordan Love. Brian Gutekunst and company decided to reward Love with a four-year, $220 million contact extension last offseason after his first full season as the team’s starting quarterback.
It was a move that the team felt it needed to make.
In his second season as the Packers’ starter, Love struggled with injury issues and lack of production. He didn’t have a “bad” year, but it certainly wasn’t the kind of season that Green Bay was expecting from him.
Looking ahead to the 2025 season, there are legitimate reasons to be concerned about Love.
That is a sentiment that was echoed by popular sports analyst Colin Cowherd. He has been a big fan of Love, but last season gave him reason to pause that excitement about the Packers’ quarterback’s future.
“I loved Jordan Love. Last year gave me pause. What if Jordan Love struggles this year?” Cowherd said.

Due to that concern, Cowherd has actually predicted that Love and Green Bay will end up missing the playoffs during the 2025 NFL season.
During the 2024 NFL season, Love ended up completing 63.1 percent of his pass attempts for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He put up those numbers in 15 games.
Hopefully, Love will be able to bounce back strong in 2025. If he’s unable to do so, the panic level will rise dramatically.
Expect to see a lot of speculation and talk about Love and the Packers leading up to his third season as the starting quarterback.
