For the first time ever, the Autosport Awards opened its doors to motorsport fans, invited to join in the celebrations at London’s Roundhouse on Wednesday evening.
Alongside hearing from the likes of Bernie Ecclestone, David Coulthard and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, attending fans were treated to numerous special exhibits displayed across the venue.
The most eye-catching was undoubtedly PUMA’s collection of race-worn suits from throughout the years, marking world championship success and innovation of the era in a one-off display for the Autosport Awards.
PUMA’s first full foray into F1 saw it link up with Jordan in 2003, with the team fully kitted out by the German brand – the landmark occasion marked by Zsolt Baumgartner’s race suit kicking off the display.
PUMA’s next deal was with Ferrari in 2005 meaning Rubens Barrichello’s overalls from that season toasted the collaboration.
At the same time, Renault welcomed PUMA on board and the kit supplier celebrated a first world championship in F1 as Fernando Alonso wrestled the drivers’ title from Michael Schumacher while the French marque won the constructors’ award – the Spaniard’s race suit was included in the special collection for Autosport.

Five years on and it was another championship double as Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel secured both titles while adorned in PUMA team gear, with the German’s race suit displayed next to that of his childhood hero, Schumacher, whose final ever F1 race suit – 2012 Mercedes – was also displayed.
The past decade has seen two names dominate F1 and both have worn PUMA at different stages of their respective reigns at the top, with Lewis Hamilton’s 2014 Mercedes suit joined by Max Verstappen’s special one-off James Bond inspired race suit from the 2019 British Grand Prix.
A couple of Charles Leclerc suits from recent seasons rounded off the display, including a 2024 version which introduced sublimation printing technology, allowing intricate, high-definition designs to be printed directly onto the suits.
Since the 1980s, PUMA has been a trailblazer in motorsport and its first race shoes debuted with Segan Bellof in 1984.
Each race suit is meticulously handcrafted in Turin, Italy, combining fire-resistant, lightweight materials for superior safety and performance.
PUMA also offers specialised racewear for female drivers, ensuring that all racers have access to high-performance gear tailored to their needs.
