Potter aiming to raid Chelsea
Graham Potter is interested in making ostracised Chelsea star Ben Chilwell his first West Ham signing, according to FootballTransfers.
Chilwell is part of the bomb squad at Stamford Bridge and has not featured under Enzo Maresca.
Potter worked with the left-back at Chelsea and could bring him to east London if West Ham free up wages, with full-back Vladimir Coufal potentially on his way out.
Leeds eye German forward
Leeds United are interested in signing Hoffenheim forward Mergim Berisha, according to Sky Sports journalist Ben Heckner.
An 18-month loan deal is understood to be in the offing, which would include an option to make the switch permanent.
Man Utd ready to hijack transfer
Manchester United are willing to bid £40m to hijack a move for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo, according to the Daily Star.
Man Utd must sell well before they buy this month, hence the desire to cash in on high profile stars like Marcus Rashford.
Mbeumo is being targeted as a potential replacement and the Red Devils could bid £40m in the summer.
Arsenal are also interested in the Bees talisman.
Hammers eye Rashford move
West Ham have shown interest in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, report the Daily Mail.
The Hammers are in need of attacking reinforcements given injuries to Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.
But the costs involved in bringing Rashford to east London could prove an obstacle.
He earns £325,000 a week at Old Trafford and has been linked with loan moves to Juventus and AC Milan.
Familiar face to return to EFL?
Jonjo Shelvey is being lined up with a return to English football, report Football League World.
The former Liverpool and Newcastle star has been playing in Turkey since leaving Nottingham Forest.
But Burnley are interested in bringing him back to England to help their promotion push.
He has been training with Scott Parker’s squad ahead of their FA Cup clash with Reading and could sign a short-term deal.
Parker on Rashford
Former Man Utd star Paul Parker has had his say on Marcus Rashford.
The retired right-back, who played almost 150 games for the club and won four major trophies, told Betfred: “It’s all about him really. Does he want to go there, work hard and run without being asked?
“If he really wants to prove everyone wrong, go and do it there, and then come back to these shores and do it here.
“Then everyone will believe, understand and respect you for what you have done but he can’t just go there believing that everything is perfect thinking “I’ve done this, I’ve done that”, because his main thing is here.
“His main thing is being at Manchester United and doing it for his local team, which he hasn’t been doing.
“So the best thing he can do is ask for the chance to prove everyone wrong at Manchester United.”
