Gunners need to keep foot on gas
With Liverpool’s game with Everton postponed due to the weather this weekend, Arsenal have the opportunity to put the pressure on the league leaders.
Anything but victory will be seen as points dropped in West London this afternoon.
They could reduce the gap at the top to four points with a win at Craven Cottage.
Welcome to Fulham vs Arsenal
Marco Silva’s side welcome Arsenal to Craven Cottage, looking to derail their title ambitions with victory in this London derby.
Fulham will be without Reiss Nelson who is ineligible to face his parents club, however a hamstring injury he picked up against Brighton could lead to a spell on the sidelines.
He joins Harrison Reed and Joachim Andersen in the treatment room while both Jorge Cuenca and Ryan Sessegnon will both require late fitness tests but are likely to be on the bench best case scenario.
Tom Cairney is suspended due to his red card against Tottenham but Sasa Lukic is back from his own ban to give Marco Silva other options for the game.
Following their early withdrawals against West Ham last weekend, neither Riccardo Calafiori nor Gabriel were risked against Man Utd and were not in training on Friday either.
Long-term injury victims Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu could be the only absentees for the London derby but Arteta may have their Champions League game against Monaco in mind with his team selection.
Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino are both in line for promotions from the bench while Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko are likely to make way if Gabriel and Calafiori are given the green light to return.
