AAA: Sugar Land Space Cowboys (51-50) lost 8-1 (BOX SCORE)
Pecko got the start and was solid allowing 2 runs over 5.2 innings while striking out 7 batters. The offense got on the board in the 4th inning on a Delgado solo home run. The game stayed 2-1 until the 8th where Nasheville put up a six spot to extend the lead. The Sugar Land offense was quiet the rest of the way as they fell 8-1.

AA: Corpus Christi Hooks (44-51) lost 5-2 (BOX SCORE)
Hicks got the start and went 5 innings allowing 2 runs while striking out 3. He was relieved by Perez who allowed 2 runs over 1 inning. The Hooks got 2 runs back in the bottom of the 7th inning on a Sisneros RBI single and Encarnacion groundout but that was it from the offense as they Hooks fell 5-2.
Note: Whitaker has a .757 OPS this season.
A+: Asheville Tourists (33-62) won 14-6 (BOX SCORE)
Asheville got on the board in the first inning on a Powell sac fly. In the third they picked up 2 runs on a Nunez RBI single and a run on an error. In the third inning, Huezo connected on a 2 run home run. The offense added a Garcia groundout in the 4th and Batista 2 run double in the 5th inning. Howard got the start and was solid allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, over 5 innings of work. The offense blew things open in the 7th inning scoring five runs on a Batista 2 run single and Neyens 3 runs home run. Martin closed it out allowing 1 run over 2 innings with 3 strikeouts as Asheville won 14-6.

A: Fayetteville Woodpeckers (47-47) won 2-1 (BOX SCORE)
Weber started for the Woodpeckers and pitched well tossing 4 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts. The offense got on the board in the 5th inning on a Nigh sac fly and a fielder’s choice. Smith pitched in relief and went 3.1 innings allowing 1 run. Saunier came on in the 9th and got the last two outs as the Woodpeckers won 2-1.
Note: Weber has a 3.14 ERA this season.
