Tim Bradley Dubs Bill Haney ‘Hood Houdini’ After Bold DAZN Move

Tim Bradley believes Bill Haney deserves credit for maneuvering Devin Haney into a favorable position as reports of a direct deal with DAZN continue to circulate.

Bradley spent part of his livestream praising Bill after discussing reports that Devin Haney is negotiating a multi-fight agreement directly with DAZN instead of joining Zuffa Boxing. While stressing that some details remain unconfirmed, Bradley said the development changes Haney’s position in the sport.

“I’m gonna call you Hood Houdini,” Bradley said on his channel. “Everybody thought that Haney was trapped in the corner. Hood Houdini. You wiggled your way out, man. You found an exit.”

Tim argued the move gives Haney greater control over sponsorships, gate revenue, site fees and pay-per-view income. He also believes a direct agreement with DAZN leaves Haney free to pursue the biggest available fights instead of operating under a single promotional structure.

“This is an opportunity for him to bet on himself,” Bradley said.

Bradley also compared Haney’s position to Shakur Stevenson’s. He noted Shakur’s reported Zuffa contract carries a substantial purse but believes that difference gives Haney a stronger long-term business position.

“I got to agree with you guys,” Bradley said after polling his audience. “Haney has more value than Shakur Stevenson.”

Bradley credited Bill Haney for helping build Devin’s career without remaining tied to one promotional company for an extended period. He believes that strategy has preserved Haney’s leverage as negotiations continue.

“The truth always comes to the light,” Bradley said. “We’ll see what happens.”

Bill Haney deserves the praise if the reported agreement reaches the finish line, Bradley believes. His new nickname reflected that view.

“Hood Houdini,” Bradley said. “You wiggled your way out, man. You found an exit.”
