Back in October 2023, the then-rising contender Keyshawn Davis entered the ring for a step-up bout against Nahir Albright. In the opening round of the fight, Albright was utilizing his feints and changing levels with the jab.

During the course of the opening round, Davis was able to connect with timely right-hand shots. For the next couple of rounds, Keyshawn Davis established the range, and as a result, he started landing his combinations.

At the halfway point of the 10-round contest, Davis was in complete control as he consistently landed his countershots. During the final three rounds of the bout, Albright experienced success connecting with the right hand.

Albright was competitive, but it seemed like he wasn’t doing enough to win rounds. At the conclusion of the 10-round contest, Davis was declared the winner by way of majority decision.

Two weeks later, it was confirmed that Keyshawn Davis tested positive for Marijuana. Davis received a 90-day suspension, and his majority decision victory over Nahir Albright was changed to a no-contest.

After his match against Keyshawn Davis, Nahir Albright’s boxing career came to a halt, as he experienced a 19-month layoff. In June of 2025, Nahir Albright stepped back inside the squared circle to face Keyshawn’s older brother, Kelvin Davis.

Albright was very aggressive, as he hurt Davis in the second and fourth rounds. Albright dictated the pace of the fight, and he earned a convincing victory.

After the bout ended, Keyshawn and his younger brother Keon jumped Albright backstage. According to Albright, the Davis brothers entered his locker room, and Keyshawn headbutted him, leaving a lump over his right eye.

As a result of the incident, the police escorted Keyshawn Davis out of the arena. Initially, Davis was supposed to be the headliner for the event, but he weighed in 4.3 pounds over the weight limit and was stripped of his WBO world title.

After going through the embarrassing incident, Keyshawn Davis redeemed himself in January 2026 when he dominated Jamaine Ortiz. Now Davis is ready to take care of some unfinished business on Saturday night.

Keyshawn “The Businessman” Davis didn’t seem professional on Friday afternoon when he weighed in at 140.2 pounds. Davis stripped down to the bare essentials, and he weighed in at 140.1 pounds.

After the second failed attempt, Davis was given two hours to make the 140-pound limit. A short time later, Davis returned to the scale and weighed in at an even 140 pounds.

Performance-wise, Keyshawn Davis is a boxer-puncher who has poise, timing, a solid jab, high ring IQ, is an elite counterpuncher, has excellent punch placement, and is lethal when he unleashes shots to the body.

His opponent, Nahir Albright, has a quick jab, he’s elusive, has good footwork, he routinely utilizes head movement, he’s durable, and he’s accustomed to throwing punches in bunches.

On Saturday night, May 16th, a grudge match will take place at Scope Arena. The Norfolk native Keyshawn Davis wants to make a statement in front of his hometown fans, but his opponent, Nahir Albright, plans on playing the role of the spoiler.
