NBA playoffs 2026, odds: Lakers’ LeBron James is biggest home underdog of his career in Game 4

We’ve become accustomed to LeBron James setting all kinds of records, as one of the best players of all time’s career draws toward its conclusion.

The Los Angeles Lakers — without Luka Doncic — have been setting the wrong kinds of records from a betting perspective in this series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

LeBron James has played over 1,900 combined games in the regular season and postseason over his incredible career, but on Monday night he’ll take the court as the biggest home underdog in his career.

The Lakers are 11.5-point underdogs in Game 4 against the Thunder. A LeBron-led team has never been a double-digit home underdog in any game — regular season or postseason.

In Game 1, Los Angeles closed as a 16.5-point underdog, which was the biggest underdog that James had been in any game in his career.

Oklahoma City has won the first three games by at least 18 points in the series in building a 3-0 lead, and the Thunder have now won (and covered) in all seven games against Los Angeles this season.

At BetMGM, 83% of wagers and a staggering 95% of the total dollars wagered so far on Game 4 are on the Thunder to cover the big spread.
