Masters tee times announced for rounds 1 & 2

Masters tee times announced for rounds 1 & 2

Rory McIlroy will get the defence of his Masters title under way at 3.31pm UK time on Thursday, when the 90th edition of the first major of the year gets underway.

McIlroy will be teeing it up play alongside US Amateur champion Mason Howell and last month’s Players Championship winner Cameron Young.

The 3-ball are on the early/late half of the first rounds draw and will be the penultimate group to start round two on Friday, at 6.44pm (BST).

World no.1 Scottie Scheffler starts his quest for a third Green Jacket on the late-early side of the draw. The 2022 and 2024 champion heads out on Thursday at 6.44pm alongside Bob MacIntyre and former US Open champion Gary Woodland.

In one of several other marquee groups, Matt Fitzpatrick will tee off with Bryson DeChambeau and Xander Schauffele at 3.07pm in round one, while Tommy Fleetwood is due out at 2.55pm.

Three-time Augusta runner-up Justin Rose, starts his 21st Masters at 6.20pm alongside Jordan Spieth and Brooks Koepka.

Jack Nicklaus will be joined by Gary Player and Tom Watson to hit the honorary starters tee shots at 12.25pm on Thursday.
