“I won a third fight,” Fury said to Gareth A. Davies. “But the thing is, I know if he stands up at the end of it, I’m not going to get a decision. For me, it’s like, may as well just give him the fight before we even box. Give him the W, and I’ll have the L.”

Usyk defeated Fury twice in 2024 in close championship fights that decided the undisputed heavyweight title. The Ukrainian’s victories reshaped the division and left Fury attempting to rebuild momentum in the final stage of his career.

When the discussion turned to how those fights were scored, Fury made clear he still views the outcome differently from the official verdicts.

“And like I said, I thought I won the fight,” Fury said. “But you know what he did? It’s someone’s opinion again.”

Fury’s remarks suggest the debate surrounding those bouts remains unresolved from his perspective. Instead of treating the defeats as decisive setbacks, the former champion continues to question whether a third meeting would produce a different outcome on the scorecards.

That lingering doubt has kept discussion of a trilogy alive even as the heavyweight landscape moves forward with other matchups. Fury has spoken about returning to winning form first before pursuing major fights again, but his comments show the controversy around the Usyk decisions has not faded.

For Fury, the conclusion remains the same: unless he stops Usyk, he doubts the judges would award him the victory.
