STAYSURE LEGENDS TOUR UNVEILS 2026 GLOBAL SCHEDULE

The Legends Tour has unveiled its 2026 global schedule and confirmed a new era for the circuit as it officially becomes the Staysure Legends Tour.

The rebrand follows the appointment of Staysure as title sponsor and signals an ambitious new chapter, featuring a refreshed identity, an expanded international calendar and a continued focus on elite over 50s competition.

With Ryder Cup captains, Major champions and proven Tour winners joined by an influx of new talent, the 2026 season promises to blend experience with emerging storylines across some of the game’s most recognisable venues.

Global schedule signals bold new chapter

The 2026 campaign will span the UK and Ireland, Europe, America, the Caribbean and Asia, underlining the Tour’s growing international reach.

The season begins in February in Marbella at Aloha, where home favourites José María Olazábal and Miguel Ángel Jiménez are set to headline a strong field.

The circuit then returns to Barbados in late April for an event at Apes Hill hosted by Masters champion and 2006 Ryder Cup captain Ian Woosnam.

The Tour’s flagship event, the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, will again be hosted by former Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie at Trump International Scotland in Aberdeen.

The August tournament will be the first professional event staged on the venue’s New Course, marking a significant milestone for both the club and Scottish golf.

Three senior Major championships also feature prominently on the schedule. The season’s Major run begins with the Senior PGA Championship in Florida in April, followed by the US Senior Open in Ohio in July.

It concludes with the ISPS HANDA Senior Open at Gleneagles, the iconic host venue of the 2014 Ryder Cup, providing a fitting stage for one of the most prestigious titles in senior golf.

Further highlights include a co sanctioned PGA Tour Champions event in Portugal at the end of July, bringing leading international names together at the Els Club in Vilamoura.

Amateur opportunities remain central

Alongside its professional offering, the Staysure Legends Tour will continue to provide amateur golfers with the chance to tee it up alongside some of the game’s greats.

Pro am formats and competitive tournament experience events remain a cornerstone of the schedule, offering unique access to legends of the sport.

Staysure, founded in 2004, is one of the UK’s most trusted travel insurance providers, specialising in cover for the over 50s, including those with pre existing medical conditions.

With global expansion a priority, the company’s ambitions closely mirror those of the Tour.

David Adams, Managing Director of the Staysure Legends Tour, said the 2026 calendar reflects the circuit’s growth and direction.

“We are incredibly excited to announce our 2026 schedule and to begin this new era as the Staysure Legends Tour,” he said. “The breadth of the calendar, the quality of the venues and the global nature of the Tour reflect how far it has come.

With tournaments across the UK and Ireland, Europe, America and Asia, encompassing three senior Majors and world class destinations, 2026 promises to be a landmark season.”

Ryan Howsam, Chairman of both Staysure and the Staysure Legends Tour, added that the partnership strengthens the platform’s long term ambitions.

“The Staysure Legends Tour represents the very best of the game’s experience and competitive spirit. Aligning Staysure with the Tour allows us to support a global sporting platform built on trust, quality and long term ambition. The strengthened schedule and new identity reflect the direction of travel and the opportunities ahead.”

Building on momentum from 2025

The announcement follows a standout 2025 season, which saw Australian Scott Hend clinch the Order of Merit title after a dominant campaign.

A multiple winner on the DP World Tour and Asian Tour, Hend led a year that also featured a wave of rookies challenging established names.

Ryder Cup players Jamie Donaldson, Stephen Gallacher and David Howell were among those in contention, alongside seasoned campaigners Johan Edfors, Anthony Wall, David Drysdale and Steve Webster.

Darren Fichardt was crowned Barry Lane Rookie of the Year after impressing across both the Legends Tour and the DP World Tour, highlighting the depth and evolving competitiveness of the circuit.

With Ryder Cup pedigree, Major winning talent and an increasingly global footprint, the 2026 Staysure Legends Tour is set to deliver another compelling season. Further additions to the schedule are expected to be confirmed in due course.
