Eubank’s name surfaced as the sanctioning body began reviewing the super middleweight order, where where mandatory positioning often steers careers as much as negotiation. Sulaiman spoke directly about Eubank’s physical suitability for the division.

“Absolutely. Chris Eubank a tremendous fighter. I believe he sacrificed too much with the weight and he’s a natural fighter for that division. Great potential. Super fighter,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman told Sky Sports.

“He’s a world-class fighter without a doubt.”

WBC review tightens Eubank’s path as Mbilli waits

The organization intends to clarify the championship track in the coming weeks, with several contenders circling the belt now held by Christian Mbilli.

“We’re going to address the situation in the following weeks to see what is coming up for Mbilli and the division. Of course, Canelo, [Jaime] Munguia, Lester Martinez, Luka Plantic. There are so many fighters who can make great fights for the champion, Mbilli,” Sulaiman told Sky Sports.

Warren approached the subject from a matchmaking angle, making clear he would match Eubank with Sheeraz without hesitation if the opening develops.

“I would do that all day long. All day long. I’d bet my house on Hamzah doing a job,” Warren told Sky.

Eubank’s timeline remains tied to full physical recovery. Mbilli keeps a high work rate with short combinations that accumulate across late rounds. Sheeraz brings reach, straight punching, and finishing accuracy. Either matchup forces Eubank into tough rounds immediately and leaves little space for a gradual return.
