And it turns out the inspiration came from United defender Diogo Dalot.

Speaking with Jamie Redknapp, Pollock said: “It must have been a long time ago.

“I use loads of different ones, but he’s my main one.”

The British and Irish Lions star also admitted he’s loving life as a United fan right now.

United sit fourth in the league and are unbeaten under interim boss Michael Carrick.

They’ve also enjoyed dramatic wins over Arsenal and Manchester City.

Pollock added: “Carrick has come in and changed a little bit.

“So yeah, I’m loving life right now.”

Dalot, 26, has made 234 appearances for the Red Devils since his debut in 2018.

And the Portugal international previously explained the origins of his now-famous celebration.

In an interview with United Review, the defender explained his ‘check the pulse’ celebration.

Dalot said: “It’s a funny thing. I had a couple of friends in the national team and we were playing Uno.

“When we are putting down the +4 cards, everybody was like this [points to neck] because we didn’t have any more +4 cards.

“So it was a funny thing and, after that, we thought it could be a group celebration if we scored in the national team.”

Pollock is now turning his attention to the Six Nations.

Despite being a familiar face in the squad, he has just 30 minutes of experience in the tournament so far.
